Description

Screen Printed image transfer on clay by Asheville artist Melissa Terrezza. 16" x 26".

The body of work for my second series titled, " Flush"  is a personal commentary that describes the plight of our diminishing natural world for monetary gain.  My images are used to bring the relationships of native teachings and modern civilization to the surface.  The two are always at odds with each other.  Corporations, commerce, and money harm the natural symbiotic relationships of all living things.  The light within the traditions of Native Americans seems decimated finding it hard to compete with the street lights, skyscrapers and shopping malls. However the light isn't completely out.
