This striking black and white etching is by artist Stephen McMillan.  He is a true master of the aquatinit technique, and etches all of his own copper plates by hand. 

Stephen says of this piece:  "Over the Thanksgiving weekend in 2006, Bellingham, Washington received almost a foot of snow.  My sister and I spent hours exploring the beautiful winter wonderland with our cameras.  This snow covered bare tree topped by a small bird was just outside her house."
