This is an "Artist Proof" of the Operation Rose Pendant designed by New Orleans designers Tom and Cheryl Stiegler of Tom Stiegler & Company. It is solid Sterling Silver and approximately 1 1/2" in diameter. It's design is as unique and beautiful as the women it represents, and captures the "vison" of Operation R.O.S.E. At first glance it's just a rose in a circle, but on closer inspection the Symbolism "Blooms". The Rose of course represents the Military wife, those we want to Reach Out to w/ Support & Encouragement. The Outer Circle is a scope, because we have them in our "sights" & because it's military stuff & looks really cool! And last, but most importantly, the Cross, the part of the scope which shows beneath the Rose...'Cause Jesus is the Inspiration & Foundation of this whole thing.

So, what is an "Artist Proof"? During the design process a piece can go through several stages before the design is finalized and duplicated. Each of the stages it goes through is called an "Artist Proof". The differences between an "Artist Proof" and the final piece can be subtle or dramatic. In this case the main difference will be in the lettering "Operation Rose". The rose will also be slightly different as Tom "Hand Waxes" this part of the design. An "Artist Proof" is also slightly larger and the details are a bit more defined. Because it is a "one of a kind" an Artist Proof is also more valuable. This piece is valued at $200. The finalized design will sell for $90 in Sterling Silver and $40 in Ancient Bronze and is available at www.stieglerjewelry.com. A smaller size will also be available and will sell for $75 in Sterling Silver and $25 in Ancient Bronze. A portion of the sales will be donated to Operation R.O.S.E.
