Behind-The-Scenes Field Museum Tour with Dr. Kerbis

Item Number: 1010
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
Join Dr. Julian Kerbis Peterhans for a guaranteed thrill at The Field Museum for a special behind-the-scenes tour in the division of Birds and Mammals.
Julian is an adjunct curator of mammals at The Field Museum, professor at Roosevelt University, and co-discovered the infamous 'Den of the Man-eating Lions of Tsavo" (portrayed in the Val Kilmer/Michael Douglas film, the Ghost and the Darkness).
This discovery led to a series of publications and lectures on maneless lions and the definitive paper on the causes of man-eating behavior (a signed copy of which is included in this package), as well as a series of television specials. Hear the inside scoop on the infamous Tsavo man-eating lion story, tour the vaults 'behind the scenes', visit the room of the flesh-eating beetles, see the world-class mammal collections and other treasures.
What a great party idea!
Tour for up to 1.5 hours and maximum 15 participants, including adults and children ages 10 and up.
Date and time to be mutually agreed upon.
Blackout dates: July 1 - September 1. Open to Lab families and faculty only.
