Cycle Training With Tour De France Cyclist Christian Vande Velde

Calling all cyclists -- opportunity of a lifetime.  Ride for two hours with Christian Vande Velde, one of the best-known cyclists in the world.  He is an Illinois native, son of Lab's own Joan Vande Velde, and an all-around nice guy. 

He placed in the top five at the 2008 Tour de France, has won the World Cup Pursuit, placed second in the Tour of Georgia, and won the 2008 USA Pro Tour and Tour of Missouri.  Christian currently lives in Spain and the USA with his young family, and races with Team Slipstream.  

Last year's recipient, Steve Cruise, said not only was the experience fantastic, but Christian was nice enough to allow him to bring a couple of friends, too.  

Ride date and time to be mutually arranged in the post-season, approximately October or November. 

Open to Lab families and faculty only.
