Description
AMAZING NEW SIGN-UP for your MS or U-High student! Did you ever want to see a levitating superconductor?
Did you ever wonder what the waves of Lake Michigan have to do with the strange laws of the quantum world?
Did you ever wonder what nanoscience is all about, and how we can use superconductors to build energy super highways in the US?
Did you ever want to see a levitating superconductor or did you ever wonder how the physics classes at LAB prepare you for cutting edge research at a university?
If so, join Dirk Morr for a fun two hours about the wonders of quantum mechanics, the cool things about nanoscience and why doing research is awesome.
Dirk K. Morr is a professor of physics at the University of Illinois at Chicago, an associate at the James Franck Institute of the University of Chicago, and the Leibniz Professor at the University of Leipzig in Germany. His research in theoretical condensed matter physics focuses on the investigation of nanoscopic systems and unconventional superconductors.
