Spend a peaceful week in a private cottage on picturesque Crooked Pond, a small pond in Plainfield, MA. There are several houses on the cottage's side of the pond, but the opposite shore is almost entirely Hawley State Forest and and has no houses on it. The cottage sleeps up to six adults and two children -- a wonderful family getaway.

The house is 2-story, 2 bedroom, with 1 & 1/2 baths. The downstairs is an open floor plan with a lovely view of the pond from large floor-to-ceiling windows. There is a futon couch in the living room area which can be opened to sleep 2. The kitchen comes fully equipped with pots, pans, etc., and there is a toaster-oven, blender and coffee maker. The large bedroom upstairs has a double bed with a futon mattress, and a love-seat size couch which can be opened up to sleep two kids. There is also an inflatable mattress for extra sleeping room. The second bedroom also has a double bed. The upstairs bath has a bathtub and shower. There is ample closet and dresser space.

Outdoors there is a lovely sitting area by the pond. There are a rowboat and a canoe, both available for use.

The cottage is about 50 minutes from Northampton (directions will be provided!), and is also about 35 to 50 minutes from various places in the Berkshires, such as Shakespeare & Co. and Tanglewood in Lenox, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival in Becket, Mass MoCA in North Adams, and the Clark Museum in Williamstown.
