Home is just steps away from a private, deepwater dock with 2 moorings.
Bring your own boat or kayak or rent one nearby and explore the local waters, islands and nearby Boothbay Harbor while seals surround you. These waters include some of the world's best striped bass fishing! Explore the woods around you, or hike, bike, and enjoy nearby nature preserves, Reid State Park or Popham Beach. Watch the lobster boats hauling in their catch, while sailboats catch favorable winds along the riverfront. Enjoy bike rides on quiet dirt
roads, and eat dinner outside on the deck under the stars or on the screened in Porch. Enjoy the nearby towns of Wiscasset, Bath, and Boothbay Harbor.
Westport Island is bridge-accessible, and is an easy 40 minute drive to Boothbay Harbor. Wiscasset, with its antique shops, wonderful restaurants, and gourmet wine, cheese and bread shop is 20 minutes away from the house by car or boat. Sandy beaches can be found at Reid State Park and Popham Beach within 30 minutes. Freeport's L.L. Bean and the Maine State Theatre at Bowdoin College are all within 45 minutes away. Enjoy the numerous festivals mid-coast Maine has to offer including the Camden Tall Ships Festival, Lobster Festival, the Hot Air Balloon Festival, the Folk Music Festival, the Jazz Festival, the Fishermans Festival and the Arts Festival. Numerous hiking trails nearby, including great hike up Mount Battie in Camden Hills State Park.
