Cellist Margaret Edmondson has had a long and successful career as a teacher, chamber musician and orchestral player. Maggie has been teaching cello lessons for over 30 years, guiding students from 4 to 70 years old from "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" through the major concertos.
Maggie has been an active and valued member of the classical music world in Los Angeles for many years. She was the resident cellist with Southwest Chamber Music for four seasons. During her tenure she won a Grammy Award for best small ensemble performance. Among her many credits, she has performed on the chamber series of the San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival, Camerata Pacifica and Sundays Live at LACMA as well as working with the Los Angeles Opera, Long Beach Symphony, Pasadena Symphony, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival Orchestra and the Los Angeles Master Chorale Sinfonia Orchestra.
This package includes four consecutive weeks of classically-oriented cello lessons (1 lesson per week) for children or adults (beginners or advanced musicians) who have access to daily use of a cello.
Lessons will be held in Maggie's Altadena studio. The package consists of four 1/2 hour lessons if student is a child ages 6-9 ($220 value), four 3/4 hour long lessons if student is ages 8-12 ($260 value) or four 1 hour long lessons if student is ages 13-adult ($300 value).
