Surly Brewing Company is so named because 'surly' describes the anger fueled by the inability to find a good beer. And a Surly Sack is a big pack of Surly gear, including of course, Surly beer. Get to know this craft brewery based in Brooklyn Center, begun as an adventure in homebrewing in 1994. Surly is more than just a business. It's owners and employees are invested in the community, participating in blood drives, fixing up free bikes for kids, and packaging food for an emergency food shelf. Oh, and they make good beer.
