The Penumbra Theatre Company is back at the Guthrie this season, presenting The Amen Corner. The production, directed by Lou Bellamy, stars Greta Oglesby as Sister Margaret Alexander, the pastor of her church. She's devoted herself to the Lord, but when her son reunites her with her estranged husband, she finds herself torn. Oglesby's previous performance in Caroline, or Change earned her exraordinary reviews by audiences and critics alike. Featuring live gospel music by the renowned Fellowship MissionaryBaptist Church,The Amen Corner "illuminates the power of love and the price of salvation."
