Description

In 1929, thirty-five years after the founding of Washington Golf and Country Club, Golfer’s Magazine referred to the Club as the “Playground of Presidents”. And indeed it has been. Over its history the Club’s membership rolls have included a number of Presidents, among them Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft and Woodrow Wilson, as well as Members of the House and Senate, Supreme Court Justices, and other ranking governmental figures.  The Georgian-style Clubhouse sits on one of the highest points in historic Arlington, Virginia. It looks out over one of the most beautiful and challenging 18-hole golf courses in the region and offers views across the Potomac River to the skyline of Washington.

You’ll have the rare opportunity to play this Donald Ross golf course, not open to the public, as guests of Congressional Schools parents Larry and Rebecca Burton, as well enjoy the driving range and practice putting greens.  Discuss the highlights of your day as guests of the Burtons for drinks and dinner at the Club.
