Steven Alexander is a painter whose work has been exhibited and collected extensively in the US and abroad, and is represented by David Findlay Jr. Gallery in New York. He holds an MFA in painting from Columbia University, and has been awarded the F. Lammot Belin Foundation grant for painting, as well as numerous public and private commissions. Author of many published texts about the work of modern and contemporary painters, he also publishes the Steven Alexander Journal, a widely read weblog about contemporary art.Steven has been Artist in Residence at Studio Art Centers International in Florence and Visiting Artist at Parsons School of Design in New York, and is currently Associate Professor of Art at Marywood University.
