Looking for a novel way to honor or remember someone special?  A Seeing Eye scholarship in their name might be the perfect tribute.  The scholarships are presented at the annual day-long event held each summer to thank puppy-raising families.  This summer's event will be a special one celebrating the 70th anniversary of puppy-raising!  The scholarship name will be read aloud in a presentation, and will also be printed in "The Guide",  Seeing Eye's magazine which reaches 50,000 supporters. 

Each year, The Seeing Eye awards a number of scholarships to high school seniors who have raised at least two puppies, including one in their junior or senior year.  The scholarship recognizes the teens' contributions to The Seeing Eye, and encourages older teens to remain in the program and serve as mentors to younger puppy raisers.  Many of these students go on to service careers, including in medicine, education, and other helping professions.

The love and dedication these high school students devote to puppy raising is inspiring; join us in recognizing the important work they do to help our very special puppies grow to become special guides.  At the same time, you can honor someone who has made a difference in your life.
