Description
This sweet black lab is made by Yomiko Classics by Russ, a company known for the softness and realism of its stuffed animals. He has thick jet black fur, black eyes, and velvety floppy ears. He is reclining, but looks alert and ready to guide. His training collar bears his name, "Solly". He wears a gorgeous leather harness and leash handmade by wildlife artist Hava Hegenbarth. It is an authentic replica of those worn by working Seeing Eye dogs, rendered in exquisite detail. Solly measures approximately 19 inches from nose to tail, and 7 1/2 inches high, lying down.
Solly would be a treasured addition to any collection!
Special Instructions
Hava Hegenbarth's name may be familiar, as her work graces some of The Seeing Eye's lovely drawn notecards. Hava began drawing animals while stationed abroad with the U.S. Foreign Service; she was initially in Australia, and later in Rwanda and Tanzania. Since retiring from the Foreign Service, Hava devotes her time to her art and to raising guide dogs.
