Description
This group of three items is perfect for any stamp collection.
- Two framed Guide Dog stamps from Great Britain, one mint (uncancelled), and one used, in an attractive 1 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch frame that has gold accents on the corners. The stamps are in color. A Labrador retriever in harness is shown walking beside his handler who can be seen from the waist down.
- Framed panel (8 x 10 black frame) with braille stamp and First Day Cover commemorating the Norwegian Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted Centenary. In the background, fingers are shown reading braille. In the forground, the stamp is red and shows a silhouette of a man walking with a white cane. The end of the cane morphs into the front half of a guide dog. The stamp says "NORGE" and 800 on the bottom. It was issued in 2009, and information about the piece is mounted on the back of the frame.
- An 8 x 10 inch black frame showcases a collection of 23 U.S. and foreign Cinderella seals dealing with raising awareness and funds for the blind. Includes a seal for the Centennial of Louis Braille (1852), Brooklyn A.I.C.P., Foundation for the Junior Blind, Illinois Industries for the Blind, NFB (1949), San Francisco Lighthouse for the Blind (1959), De Blindas Dag (1937), and many more.
