Description

Snuggle up in this handmade chocolate and sand striped afghan with a gold border.  The large heavy-weight afghan measures approximately 60” by 90” of cozy warmth.  Perfect for a chilly night to wrap yourself up with a good book! And, what better book to read than  this author-signed copy of "Independent Vision: Dorothy Harrison Eustis and the Story of The Seeing Eye" (available in electronic text to the winning bidder upon request). Published in 2010, Miriam Ascarelli's meticulously researched book -- drawing on correspondence, private papers and newspaper accounts of the day, including rare items found in The Seeing Eye's archives -- is not only a history of The Seeing Eye, but a biography of Dorothy Harrison Eustis, the woman who started it all with a column in the Saturday Evening Post.

Special Instructions
