Description

It's a dog's life, or actually 12 of them, featured here in cheerful yellow windowpanes on this beautifully handmade lap quilt.  These adorable hand appliqued dogs are doing what dogs do best... playing with toys, napping on their backs, chewing on shoes, even playfully escaping off the quilt itself!  Each dog is featured in its own window, with a sunny yellow background and framed in baby blue. A soft green and white border surrounds the windows.  This one-of-a-kind masterpiece was created by national award-winning quilt maker Peggy Barton, with exquisite attention to detail.  The quilt features hand embroidered eyes and details on each dog, and the dog appliques have the look and feel of fur.  A cheerful windowpane design of blues, yellows, and greens is on the back, making the quilt reversible. Measures 60" x 72".  Warm up under this beautiful piece on a chilly night, or hang it as a work-of-art for all to see.  Just one bid, and you can enjoy forever the fun, zest, and love of the faithful friends beautifully captured in this charming quilt.

Special Instructions

This beautiful quilt includes images of a dachshund running off the end of the quilt, a golden retriever/lab playing with a chew toy, and a little cocker spaniel puppy napping on his back.  There is also a food dish filled with treats, a kong toy, and a leash running down one side of the quilt. In one windowpane, three small dogs sit on a velvet pillow, while in another a dog chews on a shoe. Two little brown puppies peer out toward the center of the quilt from another windowpane.  And a terrier plays with a ball in yet another scene. The quilt measures x by x.  This unique work of art is a wonderful collaborative donation from three Seeing Eye supporters.  The quilt pattern is donated by Java House Quilts of Carlsbad, California, the fabric from Quilter's Loft Company of Moorseville, Noth Carolina, and the quilting labor from award-winning quilt maker Peggy Barton.
