Description

After a decade of watching the wines made from LeVois Vineyards fruit win awards, proprietor Maurice LeVois of LeVois vineyards decided to keep his grapes and make his own commercial wine for the first time in 2005. Since 1994 he had been growing Zin and Cabernet in his Bradford Mountain vineyard where the soil and 1000 ft above sea level elevation combine for hot days and cool foggy nights, small berries and low grape yields. His tremendous Zin began winning gold medals in the prestigious San Francisco Chronicle wine competition and has continued with accolades, winning the gold again with this 2008. At production of only 300 cases, this is not a wine you can find anywhere but the vineyard itself, where it quickly sells out every year, and through friends of the winery close sales. Introduce yourself to the recently released 2008 vintage and get in on the ground floor of a new, exciting and acclaimed wine. As a bonus, enjoy a 500ML bottle of the rare Late harvest Zin. Late harvest wine is only produced when conditions allow from fully ripe, exceptionally concentrated fruit. This late harvest Zin offers a little extra warmth and sweetness compared to the regular table wine, perfect as an aperitif or after dinner with some dark chocolate or cheese.
