Photographer, Marianne Pernold Young's interest in photography began in Washington DC where she was a photo-journalist freelancing for several publications and organizations. In 1973, she attended a summer workshop with Ansel Adams in Yosemite and the following year was invited to return as his assistant. Marianne lives in Portsmouth and a current exhibit of her work can be found in Philbrick's Fresh Market.
