ABOUT WEE SCOTTY SEWING CLASSES: (Tell your friends and join us <3!)

All classes are designed to accommodate beginning and intermediate students. We stress comprehensive learning. Details covered in each class include:

* Learning “How-To” on al Specialty Machines* Basic Garment Assembly * Selecting and researching a design, pattern and fabric* Sketching the design * A chance to experiment on all the machines

Knowledge of these basics will lead to more advanced skills involved in sewing which include: cutting fabric, sizing patterns, and doing the math it takes to make your garment fit.

Lynne Gallagher has been teaching children how to sew in San Francisco for the past fifteen years. Many of her students have become so advanced that they are able to compete with and share their skills with adults. The art of sewing is best when shared with others. In our classroom setting, those with more experience have enthusiastically shared their skills with their fellow beginning students, and the results have been overwhelmingly positive. We have a snack break in every class, which gives us a chance to reassess work and plan our next step.

So bring your friends, and let’s get our hands busy! Materials are available for every session, based on the designed creation each student develops; materials fee will be quoted (usually $20-$30 extra).
