Description

This basket features a recipe book by Culver City Historian Julie Lugo Cerra called "Fire Burn Cauldron Bubble." It is signed by the author.

This recipe book is a "collection of well-used, time sensitive recipes reflecting the diversity of an American family and that family's friends."

Julie also describes the contents of this book as "a melting pot filled with family traditions and neighborhood history". Family photographs of gatherings taking place in her family and friends kitchens, barbequing at local parks give great historical and personal reference to growing up in Culver City.

"Melting pot" recipes include a blend of Italian, Latin and California food traditions. Many of the recipes are family favorites and include "Jean Martin's Authentic Italian Marinara Sauce," or "Auntie Vincenta's Flour Tortillas," some recipes Julie shares are time-tested to perfection basics such as "Just Plain Beets,", or "Artichokes." Recipes will appeal to all levels of culinary experience!

Also included in this basket are two jars of "Julie Jams," homemade jam from Concord grapes and strawberries grown in her backyard. Yum, Yum!
