Artist Statement

"I began my career as a child doing graphite drawings.  I continue to draw whenever I can, finding pleasure in the results.  The brush, for me, is an extension of the pencil.   I currently paint in watercolor and water-based oils and have experimented with charcoal, ink, and clay.  No matter the medium, I find it is the process that ultimately fulfills. The constant play of colors, shapes, imagination, and a deep sense of meaning that, in the end, ultimately becomes expression."
