On Thur, Nov 17, 2011 Cities 97 released the Cities 97 Sampler Vol. 23 exclusively at area Target stores. It sold out by 11:15 a.m., about an hour earlier than the previous year. As a result, 100% of the proceeds from the $25.97 CD of 19 Studio C performances generated a donation of $800,000 dollars for Minnesota charities.

Produced annually since 1989, the Cities 97 Sampler is the longest running radio music or performance compilation for charity in the country with 100% of the proceeds from sales going to Minnesota charities.
