5 course dinner for 8 prepared by US acclaimed chef Seth Bixby Daugherty.

In 2005, Seth was honored by Food and Wine as one of the 10 Best New Chefs. Seth's been passionate about food since the age of 12, when he got his start buttering toast in a local restaurant. Seth was trained/educated at The Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY.

Seth's experiences include The Four Seasons in Washington, D.C., Le Bernardin, Four Seasons  and Fifty Seven Fifty Seven in New York City, D'Amico Cucina and Graves 601 Hotel (Minneapolis).

His most heroic moment cooking was for 500 people daily while traveling across America for a 1988 Soviet-American peace walk that he helped organize.

Seth will plan menu in cooperation with the host(ess) to ensure it matches wine selection, and other requests.

Seth  now runs his own non-profit Real Food Initiatives.  

 

Work on a local and national level to get more REAL FOODS in the public schools cafeterias

1. Break the cycle of processed foods.


2. Get the federal government to change how and what farmers are subsidized.


3. Work on getting more local products on the school tables.


4. Help reduce the number of obese children growing up in our culture today.

Create life skills curricula that connects the link between cooking and nutrition.

1. Work with families to help them better understand the importance of nutritional planning and its relation to healthy eating.


2. Work with high schools locally and nationally to create a life skills course teaching kids about the link between cooking and nutrition.
