Description
Here is a lovely sampling on some of Australia’s best signature wines from an NCS family from ‘down under’. The De Bortoli 2007 Noble One Botrytis was lauded with 94 points by the Wine Advocate which reviewed “one of Australia’s highest quality botrytised sweet wines...possessing a pale gold color, the aromas of the 2007 Noble One are still very primary – lemon curd, acacia honey, jasmine, mandarin peel, cedar and a whiff of complexity-instilling VA. Very crisp, concentrated and intense on the palate with a great mid-palate adding to the layers of complexity. Fully sweet with a very long finish”. WA gave the Lillypilly 2006 Noble Harvest 89 points and offered “a pale gold color and some pleasantly musky and beeswax aromas over candied orange peel and lemon marmalade. Crisp, very sweet, concentrated and a seductively rich, viscous texture on the palate”. In an article answering the question ““who is doing a truly superlative job these days in South Australia?”, the Wine Advocate named Torbreck as one of the makers “at the very pinnacle of quality and high standards”. The Torbreck Bothie is a muscat sweet wine for the Barossa Valley that received 90 points from Stephen Tanzer and is a beautiful example of a classic Australian dessert wine.
