Description

This delicious Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the winery owned and run by the family of Clare Mathias ’14.  Scribe winery and their incredible wines have recently been featured in Food & Wine “Sonoma’s Wildest Wine Party” (3/10), the New York Times “36 Perfect hours in California Wine Country” (7/11), and WIne & Spirits Magazine “Top New Talent in the Wine World”(3/11).  This 2006 Cabernet is described as having dark, black fruits with notes of cedar and anise seed followed by hints of bay leaf, finishing with a trace of vanilla bean and cherry. The grapes are harvested from the famous Atlas Peak by hand, and the wine is aged in french oak for 20 months.  This now sold out wine was released in October of 2009 and will cellar well, but can be enjoyed now if you have the patience to let it breathe a little before enjoying it.
