Created from recycled cans with the second graders of Room 24 in Mrs. Allegri's and Mrs. Attema's class.

Children learned about the tree of life image in art from around the world and drew their own trees of life (arbol de la vida.)  They helped collect cans for the project medium.  Cans were then cut and prepped by parents into the shapes drawn by the students.  The cans were hammered onto wooden canvases to create the "mosaic" images.
