New proud owner of the shop is Gunilla Leavitt, perhaps better known as the Knitting Doctor in several different yarn stores across the Bay Area (most notably at Knitting Arts in Saratoga and Green Planet Yarn in Campbell). Not stumped by a knitting problem yet, she has decided to strike out on her own, picking the best from the shops she has worked with to create a true haven for yarn enthusiasts in the South Bay.

Color is everywhere when you enter the store. Next is texture - raw silk from Habu, kid mohair from Rowan and alpaca from Plymouth cozy up on the shelves next to work-horse yarns like Great Adirondack superwash merino and Cascade 220. For the budget minded and/or charity knitter, we stock Encore (75% acrylic, 25% wool) in a plethora of shades. For those of you who lean towards luxury, you will find the best Mongolian Cashmere just waiting to be fondled and turned into gorgeous wearable art.

What good is yarn if you don't know what to do with it, you ask... well, we have the answer for that as well - classes and workshops, and of course the Knitting Doctor service, which is free!
