Description

Explore history through exciting exhibits, displays and collections with admission for two adults and two children to the Southwest Florida Museum of History!

Housed in the former Atlantic Coastline Railroad depot in Fort Myers, the museum is home to the history of Southwest Florida. Travel back in time to prehistoric Florida, then proceed into the 21st century via the people and events who shaped the area. Paleo Indians, the Calusa, the Seminoles, Spanish explorers, and early settlers are just a few of the people you will meet as you view the museum's exhibits and displays. Outside, museum guests can step aboard a 1929 private Pullman rail car, view a replica ‘Cracker’ house and enjoy a lovely stroll in the new museum-front memorial park.
