Yellow Cactus Flower is a wood-framed, 16x20 inch photographic print made from the artist’s original digital image file. The flower was photographed on April 3, 2011 on the grounds of The Alamo in San Antonio, Texas. This photograph is signed by the artist and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.

Beth Akerman is a practicing artist/photogragher and a Wellington Alumni Parent (Nicole ’07). Beth is also the parent of Erik (UAHS, Class of ’15). She received her BFA with a concentration in Printmaking and Art History from Wittenberg University and is a graduate of Upper Arlington High School. She works in a number of different medias including pen & ink, colored pencil, oil & acrylic paintings. In the past two years, Beth has taken up photography with nature, macro and abstract digitally manipulated works being her primary focus. She has exhibited her works at the Upper Arlington Municipal Center, and on two occasions in the Short North District. She previously co-chaired the Children’s Arts Fest at Wellington in 1998, and has generously contributed her artistic skills to the school over the years. Her art can be found in several private collections in the United States, Japan and Australia.
