Help provide an in-depth artistic experience at The Wellington School for the 2012-13 school year.

Your gift will fund the Arts Premiere Artist-in-Residence program. The chosen artist will work with students across all grades on a collaborative project. He or she will be an additional resource, providing artistic education in cooperation with our art teachers, in and out of the classroom. Our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to participate in a large scale art production, to learn from a professional, practicing artist, and to have fun doing so.

This video, although from last year, gives you a feel for the experience. An internationally recognized photographer and multi-media artist worked with students to prepare for the 2011 Arts Premiere. A favorite part of the project was developing the photographs with the students. The kids would point and giggle as they watched their portraits come to life.
