This Loop restaurant and wine bar is housed in the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and serves as a prime after-work spot for drinks and nibbles. With about 30 small-batch wines by the glass and close to 60 bottles of French, Italian and Spanish vinos, the spot lives up to its name. (Which, by the way, is a nod to the owner’s family property in Germany taken from the Nazis during World War II.) There's also a full bar with craft beers and fine spirits. In terms of food, Rittergut features classic dishes with a contemporary spin. The menus change seasonally to reflect their commitment to fresh & sustainable ingredients.
