Vintage photo (c. 1930s) of Ruth St. Denis, considered by many to be one of the seminal figures in both American modern dance and American sacred dance. The 7'' x 9" photo, inscribed and signed by Miss St. Denis, was presented to noted ballet teacher Walter Hillhouse. Donated by Rene Rodriguez.
