While working under the highly celebrated chef, Jean George Vongeritchen, Chef Elliott gained experience which shaped him into the renowned culinary professional that he is today. He was able to acquire vital knowledge from him about the restaurant business and learned how to have a better eye while working in the kitchen. Much of his career can be thanked to Chef Jason Hicks of La Goulue whom he holds in high esteem as a mentor and friend. Chef Kevin Reilly of Zoe also helped him gain important insight that contributed to him becoming a skilled expert. He was able to gain a better understanding of what it meant to become a good cook and how to have proper kitchen etiquette. He believes in a well run kitchen that has strong and positive communication amongst all of the employees. Under such experts, he discovered his true passion of the food industry, and his fond love for cooking is evident with every meal he prepares.
