Each of our four sixth grade sections did a large, collaborative leaf watercolor piece.  In the autumn, watercolor leaves were a project in the classroom so students were able to revisit the watercolor skills gained during that lesson.  Each student painted one of the 18 to 20 leaves on the painting belonging to their section and the students with the most control painted the background.

Art Teacher Anne Faught writes, “I loved hearing students compliment each other’s work and as the piece was coming toward completion, suggesting ideas to color balance the piece.  Sixth graders are very proud of these beautiful paintings as they should be!”
