Named after the beloved cat of vineyard owners Lisa Cort and David Goldman, "Dead" Fred found his final resting place at the far end of the vineyard. Uber-talented winemaker Mia Klein produces microscopic amounts (150 cases in 2008) of cabernet sauvignon for her loyal followers under her own Selene Wines label. Spanning an outstanding trio of vintages (2006-2008), this vertical is a rarity. Incidentally, Mia has been consulting winemaker at such iconic Napa estates as Spottswoode, Dalla Valle, Araujo, and Viader.
