A. Rafanelli Winery is located in Healdsburg in the heart of the Dry Creek Valley. They are small (about 10,000 cases) and are family owned and operated. You can not buy A. Rafanelli wines in stores. They'd rather have you come up to see them, spend some time, and create a longstanding relationship. Of course, the wines must be pretty good. And they are. Sommeliers and collectors eagerly gobble up their annual allocations.

This vertical includes six bottles of A. Rafanelli Cabernet Sauvignon, from vintages 2003-2008.

Their cabernets are muscular and spicy but approachable with an unmistakable creaminess on the palate. They use just enough French Oak to make you think about it.
