Tor Kenward winemaker Jeff Ames has been dazzling the wine world with his prominent Cabernet Sauvignons and Syrah under his own Rudius label. You can't buy them off of his website, because, well...they always sell out. Quickly.

This package contains two bottle of Rudius. One bottle each of the 2009 Panek Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2009 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. 

Says Ames, "The 2009 Panek Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon may be my favorite of any Cabernet we have done to date. The nose on this wine explodes from the glass with barbequed meats, rich spices, licorice and sweet smoke. On the palate, tremendous weight, depth and length. There is an exciting graphite edge to it as well as sweet notes of black cherries, mint and cloves."

Ames says this about his '09 Napa Valley Cabernet: "The nose on the 2009 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is rich and very dense with notes of blackberry, roasted meats, black truffles, and rich cocoa. On the palate, this wine is very rich. Espresso and cassis lead into a very long, smooth finish. Just enough tannin structure to keep it fresh and clean. Drinkable on release but will gain complexity and depth for at least 7-10 years."

Anything Rudius is special.
