Architectural Tour of San Francisco

Item Number: 237
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
Have you ever seen the movie “San Francisco” with Clark Gable and Jeanette MacDonald? In one of the opening scenes, Clark Gable jumps on a fire wagon and asks where the fire is. The response is DuPont Street. Any idea where DuPont Street is…..or was?
Find out from Peter Espe on this exclusive tour of San Francisco's architectural heritage. Peter has exhaustive knowledge of the REAL history of San Francisco - not the garden variety urban tales that are spun by so many well-intentioned amateurs.
If you're a fan of architecture, or you're just interested in knowing more about San Francisco's history, this is a tour that is not to be missed. Peter looks forward to sharing his passion for this tiny corner of the world with you!
Date: June 16th, 3pm
Special Instructions
This tour will take place on 6/16 at 3pm. You'll meet at Civic Center, tour the area, hop on Muni to the Embarcadero, and learn about key buildings on the Embarcadero and in the Financial District. At the end of the tour, Peter will drop you at an eating or drinking establishment of architectural significance so that the invigorating architectural discussion may continue after his departure.
If there's sufficient demand, Peter may offer a second tour.
