Description
This quilt is inspired by the Owls’ “caring community” study, during which each child conceptualized and wrote about what it means to be a caring CDS student. In November, the Owls performed their care-chain at assembly and, soon after, each student illustrated his or her own care chain statement for this quilt. These are the Owls’ own words and images, standing out vividly against the dark background of the quilt. “If we connect them, with the participation of all CDS students, it could be big enough to encircle the entire school.”
Special Instructions
By the Owls, Lydia Wendt Timken, Heather O’Donnell, Jo-Anne Pizzica, and Verna Kuo. Teachers: Amy Copland and Daniela Gibson.
Dimensions: 62" x 60"
