Before it went to Broadway and won the Pulitzer, Sunday in the Park with George by James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim debuted at Playwrights Horizons in 1983, with a cast that included Christine Baranski, Kelsey Grammer, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, and Nancy Opel, as well as the stars who would define Dot and Georges: Bernadette Peters and Mandy Patinkin. 

We went searching in the Playwrights Horizons vault and found an original Broadway show poster and an original cast recording signed by Messieurs Sondheim and Lapine. We also found a original signed Playwrights Horizons Showbill from the production. Georges and Dot’s relationship may have been doomed from the start, but you and this collector’s package “belong together.”
