Pleasant Ridge Reserve, a farmstead artisan cheese handcrafted in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, has been crowned best American Cheese by the American Cheese Society three times since 2001. Pleasant Ridge reserve is created only from May through October, when the cows are on fresh pasture. This cheese is in the tradition of Alpine cheese like Gruyere and Beaufort.
