Wave Hill is one of NYC's greatest secrets. Located in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, it is a garden and cultural arts center with free (with garden admission) weekly family arts and gardening projects as well as concerts. The views onto the Hudson are spectacular.  A free shuttle picks up visitors from the 1 train Van Cortlandt Park stop and returns them to the subway at the end of the day.
