“Camp Yomi is the best camp I have ever been to! Camp Yomi is full of nature. Swim is fantastic! I love the counselors at Camp Yomi. They are helpful and attentive, very gentle, funny and caring.” —Sydney, a camper
The daily schedule includes a diverse mix of sports, specialized arts, instructional and free swims and much more. The exciting calendar of events includes our famous Wacky Wednesday theme days (Carnival, Olympics, etc). A unique Visiting Artists Series program presents musicians, dancers and artists who provide enrichment workshops for groups of children.
Camp Yomi encourages all campers to participate in every activity, and our instructors are sensitive to all skill levels and abilities. Much of our athletics program is run in conjunction with some of NY's most established sports programs. We have developed partnerships with Super Soccer Stars, the Baseball Center NYC and Ad-In Kids Tennis. These organizations provide us with the best possible instructors, and our campers benefit tremendously from their expertise. Similarly, our unparalleled arts programs are influenced and supported by the magnificent resources of 92Y. Campers engage not only in arts & crafts and painting, but also in cartooning, ceramics and sculpture, digital photography and filmmaking and jewelry making. The specialized instruction available at Yomi truly distinguishes it from other New York day camps.
Our younger campers experience "late nights" at the campgrounds complete with an afternoon swim, BBQ dinner and other special events. Our older campers enjoy overnights and a variety of elective options, including horseback riding, theater, ceramics, tennis, martial arts, rocketry, golf and more (horseback riding, tennis and golf are offered at an additional fee).
