Rockefeller’s restaurant in the Rockefeller Building in Cleveland Heights brings more to the table than extraordinary food. It also offers historical elegance.

Built in 1930 by John D. Rockefeller Jr., The Heights Rockefeller Building is significant for its association with and unusual chapter in the development of suburban Cleveland and because it represents one period's vision of advanced standards of community planning.

While searching for a place to pursue his dream of opening a restaurant, owner Michael Adams fell in love with the Rockefeller building’s upper floor, which recently has mostly been used as a rental space for weddings. He saw the potential for an exceptionally beautiful restaurant, which indeed Rockefeller’s is.

Old stone stairs take you up to a huge, open, formal dining area with 20-foot granite arches, beamed rafters, antique-looking iron chandeliers, and beautiful leaded glass. Or you can relax for drinks in the comfortable bar and lounge area, which is within view of the huge Cleveland Trust vault. (There is a special lounge menu for casual dining.)
