Description
This one-of-a-kind Florida Snook is hand carved from rough sawn Cypress wood, hand painted and coated with 3 coats of spar varnish. The carving is suitable for indoor or outdoor decor. The carving measures 45-1/2" long x 16" wide and weighs 11 lbs.
The carving takes approximately one week to complete. The process begins with a hand drawn picture of the fish. Next, 2 to 5 pieces of wood are glued together depending on the size of the fish to be carved. Once the wood is firmly set, the fish is hand drawn on the glued wood surface. Afterwards the excess pieces of wood are sawed off and the carving starts. The fish is hand painted with acrylic paints and coated with 3 coats of spar varnish to protect it from the weather. It is now suitable for hanging indoors or outdoors.
