Sweet Petal bloomed for the first time on May 1, 2008. Our 537 South Dearborn location was previously also a flower shop, named That Flower Shop. I worked there for two years while I was attending design school, and I never forgot how much I loved the work.

In 2008, my corporate job fell victim to the bad economy. I took the setback as an opportunity to pursue a dream. Step by step, with the love and support of my family and friends, I got the business up and running.

I want Sweet Petal to enrich people’s lives with the natural beauty of flowers. It's a cozy spot for you to browse for a special gift, to plan the look of your wedding, or to turn around those rainy days when you just need some color in your home.
