The Fireplace, in Brookline, hosts Fireside Chat Wine Tastings twice monthly, on Saturdays.  The winner and a guest will be invited to sample wines, spirits or beers and the seasons bounty.  It is an effort to share the owners' passion for American wines, New England micro-brewed beers, local produce and fine liquor.  Farmers, vintners, afficionadoes, and master brewers will educate and amuse with knowledge and anecdotes, while those who attend will share food and libations.
