Description

Dr. Kelly Broderick, a diagnostic radiologist at Mills Peninsula Hospital and Menlo parent, invites an Menlo Upper School student to join her for an inside look at the work of a radiologist this summer.

When someone is injured or gets a bad stomach ache, how do the doctors figure out what's wrong? Listening to the patient's story and a physical exam may lead to the diagnosis. However, many times, a radiologic test is needed to solve the mystery. X-rays, MRI's, CT scans, ultrasounds and other types of medical imaging are vital to diagnosis and medical care.

If you are interested in the field of medicine and are fond of technology, physics and photography, you would probably enjoy spending some time with a radiologist.  Harvard and UCSF trained Dr. Kelly Broderick welcomes students to experience the world of medical imaging and hospital cafeteria food.

Special Instructions

Dr. Kelly Broderick will host 2 Menlo School students together on the same, mutually agreeable day during the summer break of 2012, Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Includes lunch.

You are bidding on one of the two spots.
